Paulina Trigos

Paulina is a Puerto Rican writer currently based in Paris. Originally from San Juan, she moved to France to pursue a BA in Creative Writing and Film Studies at The American University of Paris.

Her passion for storytelling extends deeply into her heritage, as shown in her most recent project, where she explores her family history and national identity through translation—a project that earned her the Sin Ming Shaw Award for Excellence. This exploration sought to answer whether one could truly know someone through their art rather than through stories alone.

Now completing her master’s degree in Global Communications, Paulina focuses on subjects related to copywriting and advertising in the fashion industry, visual and digital cultures, as well as journalism. She has contributed to online publications and digital magazines such as HiP Paris and Peacock Magazine, writing on French lifestyle, pop culture, and politics. A poet at heart, Paulina’s words often find their way onto the back of receipts and scraps of paper, a habit that reflects her spontaneous approach to writing and desire to always keep creating.
